Roof racks/rails - To suit a Subaru Forester SJ 2017 with roof rails. Something like the Thule Evo Wingbar or Rhino Rack Vortex, preferably in black.
Digital Multimeter Oscilloscope - Hantek 2C42. Can be found for about $150 on eBay.
Logitech mouse MX Master 3 - https://www.logitech.com/en-au/product/mx-master-3 Can be purchased from JB, HN, OW, etc for about $150. Cheaper prices can be found on StaticIce http://staticice.com.au/cgi-bin/search.cgi?q=Logitech+MX+Master+3.
Power bank - You know, a USB charging battery/brick. The ones I've had have slowly died over the years and now it time to get another.
Soldering station - Adjustable soldering iron and hot air blower... like this or this. Or, better yet, one that includes an adjustable power supply, like this.
Silicone soldering mat - something like this. There's also one at Bunnings.
Ozito Power X Change 18V Brushless Drill - brushless drill, fast charger and battery... available for $99 at Bunnings (note, this drill is more powerful than the standard/cheaper "brushed" version). There's a similar Ozito kit with 2 batteries, but is unusually expensive at $159... so just get the single battery kit, and I'll get a second battery by taking one of the spares from the camper trailer.
3D printing filament re-extruder/recycler - a machine for melting ground/granular plastic to make new 3D printing filament. This will allow me to recycle waste plastic from the 3D printer and potentially recycle other material (eg. milk bottles). While prices can be very expensive, there are some cheaper/build-it-yourself options... eg. https://www.filastruder.com/products/filastruder-kit?variant=338125655 and https://felfil.com/shop/felfil-evo-basic-kit/?v=6cc98ba2045f.
Extension tube set for Canon EF/EF-S - Set of 3 extension tubes to suit Canon EF and EF-S lenses. This will allow me to take macro photos with my current lenses. Make sure you choose a tube set that includes electrical connectors (for the lens' auto focus to work). Ovoid the cheapest eBay items ($10-$15). Kenko tubes are good, but are $130 (https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/152848069370). This one on eBay (https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/261142983553) appears to be best of the cheaper options.
Panorama tripod mount for DSLR camera - this (https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/112721421701) is a good example, but one of the few that is cheap enough to afford.
DJI Mavic Pro Platinum Drone - Fly more combo (includes extra props, batteries, etc). More details - https://www.dji.com/mavic-pro-platinum
Mavic Pro ND Filter Set - Set of Neutral Density, Circular Polariser, UV filters. Something like these.

- Lens: EF 50mm f/1.8 STM https://www.canon.com.au/camera-lenses/ef-50mm-f-1-8-stm
- Filter: 2x 67mm UV lens filter (ie. one for each of the zoom lenses listed above)
- Filter: 67mm circular polariser lens filter
- Camera bag suitable to carry all the above
TP-Link TL-WR703n (with OpenWRT firmware) - I'll use this to add WiFi connectivity to my 3D Printer, and maybe a webcam too. Can be found for under $50 on eBay. OpenWRT pre-installed is preferable (will save me some work).
Scrap the above, I think this will be better...
Direct replacement CPU board for UP plus mini 3D printer - $75 on eBay, this will allow me to use more advanced printing software and drive my printer beyond what it is currently capable of.
Gas/butane soldering iron/blow torch kit - with integrated ignition and including bits/accessories for soldering iron, blow torch and heat-shrinking. Wide variety of price points and retailers available... Bunnings has one (https://www.bunnings.com.au/tradeflame-10-in-1-micro-soldering-torch-hot-air-kit_p5910251) for $50 or a bigger one (https://www.bunnings.com.au/tradeflame-10-in-1-mini-soldering-torch-kit_p5910252) for $75, Jarcar has one (https://www.jaycar.com.au/pro-gas-soldering-tool-kit/p/TS1113) for $70 (and other cheaper/more expensive options), many auto-accessory shops sell them too. The Aldi one I currently have has been loved to death... the ignitor has recently died.
Up Mini 3D Printer Heatbed v2 - http://3dprintingsystems.com/products/up-mini-3d-printer/up-mini-platform-heater-v2/ $100-$150 depending on the source you can find.
Lightweight Hiking gear - This list is a place-holder of items I'd like to have, and a reminder for me to investigate exactly what individual items to list. If I haven't specified exactly what brand/make/model, then I haven't worked out what I'm looking for yet:
- 1 person hiking tent: Vango Blade 100 http://www.vango.co.uk/gb/trekking-tents/83-blade-100.html $130-$180
- sleeping mat/pad, lilo-like air filled, warm, comfortable: Big Agnes Insulated Air Core (or similar) LONG https://www.bigagnes.com/Products/Detail/Pad/InsulatedAirCore $140
- inflatable pillow: Sea to Summit Aeros Premium Pillow large http://www.seatosummit.com.au/products/outdoor/aeros-pillow/?ref=travelling-light $48
- sleeping bag, approx 0 degree "comfort" rating (not lower or extreme rating), long, with draft baffles: TBA
- back pack, approx 60-70L: TBA
- Helinox "Sunset Chair" https://www.helinox.com.au/lightweight-camping-chairs/sunset-chair
-
Leather Wallet - Preferably with RFID shielding (to prevent unwanted theft of credit card, etc details). Something like this is similar to the wallet I currently have (I like my current wallet and am having trouble finding something similar)... http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Parker-Vintage-Leather-RFID-Blocking-Coin-Wallet-Camel-/161933457301?hash=item25b3fc7795:g:9uQAAOSwL7VWhGxg.
Bike stand - (http://www.cyclingdeal.com.au/shop/accessories/13?cn=126&rf=cn).
Bike repair tool kit, wide variety of price points available.
Cigweld 135 Mig Welder - (or similar) gas and gas-less mig welder. This model is was available at Masters. Similar model at other outlets.
Waterproof Camera Case - The WP-DC34 waterproof case to suit my G12 camera.
58mm filters - to attach to the FA-DC58B adapter. A UV filter and circular polariser filter are quite handy. No particular preference, do your research, ask Google, etc.
58mm zoom/wide lens - to attach to the FA-DC58B adaptor. Would like a x2 (or larger) zoom lens and a x0.6 (approx) wide lens. A Raynox DCR-2020/DCR-2025 and Raynox HD-6600PRO-52 or Raynox HD-7000PRO would be perfect, yet pricey. Ovoid the small and cheap ($50 or so) zoom lenses, they generally produce horrible chromatic aberrations.
Silk Ties - Extra long. I prefer paisley & interesting patterns; I generally don't like plain stripes or plain colours. Shlax & Wing (http://www.shlaxwing.com/) have a good selection of cheap ties (but delivery from China can take up to a month). Very few eBay sellers have suitable XL ties... if you find some, you may find they are from Shlax & Wing anyway (FYI. its cheaper to buy from their website than from eBay). Check with Tracey before buying so as to avoid double ups. The store 'High and Mighty' also stock extra long ties, however they will be expensive.
LED Torches - With multiple brightness settings, using an A123 battery (don't worry about batteries/chargers). The single battery requirement is to keep the torch light as I intend to use them with a headband (see below), which has clamps to hold 2 torches. Ovoid common LED torches that use 3xAAA batteries, as these are too heavy and too fat to fit the 22mm diameter clamps.
T-Shirts - Size XL, or a longish L. I've no particular type/style to recommend or avoid... except maybe stay away from metro-sexual pastel colours. My pile of "nice" t-shirts is slowly getting smaller as they get worn out and migrate into the pile of "bum around home" t-shirts.
Beer can kits - something interesting & different. Perhaps some other ingredients that turn a standard can kit into something better & unique.
Craft beer - any beer from microbreweries, any style, the weirder the better - here are some suggest brands Matilda Bay Beez Neez Honey Wheat Beer, Little Creatures Pale Ale, Matilda Bay Fat Yak Pale Ale, Mountain Goat Hightail Ale, Kirin First Press Beer, Asahi Super Dry, Coopers Pale Ale, anything from Grand Ridge Brewery, James Squire Four Wives Pilsner, Matso's Ginger Beer
Bunnings vouchers - I can always find a use for these
Cycle Computer/Velometer: something like http://www.cyclingdeal.com.au/shop/accessories/13?cn=101&rf=cn
Ergonomic Handlebar grips, something like this: $30 http://www.cyclingdeal.com.au/buy/ergon-gp1-rohloff-grips/ERGON-GP1
3D Printer - something simple and inexpensive like the UP Mini (under $700 at Evok3D). Ask Daimon for more info and/or to order one.
Logitech Marathon Mouse M705 - A wireless mouse for use at work. http://www.logitech.com/en-au/product/7108. $55 at Office Works, even less if you shop around (http://www.staticice.com.au/cgi-bin/search.cgi?q=Logitech%20m705).
Digital Calipers - something like this. I broke mine just the other day (smashed the LCD screen)... not happy
Men's Grooming Kit - with nose hair trimmer and beard/hair clippers.
Canon FA-DC58B - Filter/lens adapter for Canon G12/11/10 camera, so I can add extra zoom/wide lenses and/or special filters. Ovoid the imitation JJC ones for $20 on eBay
Portable Solar USB charger - something lightweight to take camping/hiking, to charge a phone & other USB devices. Here are just a few examples. eBay has plenty of choices too.
Fenix Flashlight Headband - This is simply headband for holding small LED torches. Can be readily found on eBay.
TARDIS iPhone 4 cover - This one is especially cool... it includes both back & front covers and a wallpaper image so the screen matches the front cover around it!
Router - The Triton JOF001, MOF001 or TRB001; these will fit my router table perfectly.
Homebrew Cleaning & Sterilizing - something to accelerate my brewing and bottling (ie. save time with the cleaning and sterilizing). A bottle rinser like this or similar and some cleaning/sterilizing (no-rinse) agents like these or similar.
Work Support - Adjustable height, roller top, something like this.
Tool Chest & Cabinet - CraftRIGHT 8 Drawer Workshop Tool Chest and Cabinet. Instead of the two separate items above (Tool Chest and Tool Trolley), this one item is both in one and costs less that the two items individually. Sorry, I can't find a link/image for this item, but there was a whole stack of them in front of the Tool Shop inside Bunnings Pakenham.
Air Compressor - A small-medium sized one. I'd like one with twin/detachable tank, like GMC DTC32L or AC2530BCM.
Touch Lamps - for both Tracey & I to use on our bedside tables.
Canon Camera - the new G12 model
Subaru Forester Roof Racks - to suit a 2007 Forester (suitable roof rack will fit 7/2002 - 2/2008 Foresters), like this or this. Second hand from eBay is fine too. See Tracey for more details, I believe she has already started organising this one.
Ryobi "Expand It" Attachments - this time the hedge trimmer attachment, since our garden seems to be growing out of control at the moment.
A Power Saw - same specs as described in my Xmas 2008 blog
A gutter protector/ladder attachment - something to go over the roof gutter so it doesn't get scratched by a ladder leaning against it. I think Maurie saw one of these at the market the other week, so see him find out more.
Casio Protrek PRG-90T watch - See the Casio website for full details and search for "Protrek" or "Pro trek" and "PRG-90T" or "PRG90T" on eBay or Google or anywhere else that you prefer.
